A vintage, hand-shaped Yixing teapot inspired by nature, decorated with bamboo motifs and a symbolic frog — a creature that in Chinese tradition represents prosperity, good fortune and longevity. Its substantial form, natural patina and soft, detailed sculpting are characteristic of workshop production from the late 1990s to early 2000s, giving the teapot an unmistakably artistic and collectible character. The teapot is made from traditional Yixing clay in deep red and graphite tones, creating a beautiful contrast between the naturalistic sculpted elements and the raw, unpolished exterior of the teapot.

It features a classic bamboo-style design: a handle shaped like a bent branch, a spout stylized as a bamboo shoot, and a lid topped with a meticulously sculpted frog. Every element was crafted entirely by hand, without industrial molds.

The stamp on the bottom confirms the piece’s workshop origin and helps identify it as an older, early-2000s artisan work.

This teapot is ideal for brewing oolong, red tea and both sheng and shu pu-erh. Yixing clay enhances aroma and depth — with each session, the teapot absorbs the essence of the tea, developing a richer internal seasoning over time.
