Wan Mu Dan, also known as Black Peony, is a white tea originating from Fujian Province in China. The tea undergoes minimal processing – with virtually no mechanical handling or heat treatment – allowing it to retain its natural character, aroma, and beneficial compounds.
White Tea Wan Mu Dan (Black Peony) – a unique white tea from Fujian Province, China. Minimally processed, without mechanical rolling or high-heat treatment. Each portion includes one bud and two small leaves picked in early spring. The leaves are covered with soft white fuzz on one side and are smooth and deep green on the other. According to tradition, the harvest takes place between March 15 and April 10, only during dry weather.
The taste reveals notes of cherry in chocolate, and the infusion takes on a warm apricot jam hue. A delicate fragrance and smooth, gentle sweetness with no bitterness – this tea is known for its clarity and softness.
Wan Mu Dan is a light, subtle tea, perfect for quiet moments and calm reflection.
